Justification by Faith

Justification by Faith

Romans 3:9-30

Theme: All have sin but God’s righteousness

Summary:

Verses 9-20:**

Paul emphasizes that both Jews and Gentiles are under sin, highlighting the universal need for salvation. He quotes various Old Testament scriptures to demonstrate that no one is righteous on their own and that all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. This section underscores that no human effort can achieve righteousness and that the law exposes human sinfulness.

Verses 21-26:**

The righteousness of God is revealed apart from the law through faith in Jesus Christ. This righteousness is accessible to all who believe. Paul explains that Christ's sacrificial death demonstrates God's justice, making it possible for sinners to be justified freely by His grace through faith.

Verses 27-30:**

Paul concludes that salvation is by faith alone, not by works of the law. This righteousness is available to both Jews and Gentiles, emphasizing the unity of believers and the inclusive nature of the gospel.
