Children's Ministry

Our goal at Fruitland is to provide biblically sound teaching with a safe and fun atmosphere.  We want our children to become rooted in Christ, grow (spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally), reach and invite their friends and be sent out into the mission field, which is anywhere outside our church doors.

What to Expect

Here at Fruitland we lovingly partner with families in helping them train their children to grow in the Lord.  We offer a variety of classes and activities for children and families.  Weekly classes are offered on Sundays and Wednesdays. On Sunday mornings there is a nursery, preschool and all age Sunday School classes, beginning at 9:45 and finishing at 10:45. Nursery continues and Preschoolers attend Preschool Worship Kid Style during the 11:00 AM Worship hour. Our kindergarten - 2nd grade students go into the worship service and worship with their families during the praise and worship portion, then before the pastor shares the sermon they head to class to be taught a lesson that is age-appropriate.

On Wednesday nights we offer a nursery for babies to two years of age. The preschoolers participate in Mission Friends and in the fall we have a preschool choir. Older children have a children's choir in the fall and Mission Journey Kids or High Voltage Kids after Christmas. All leaders that work with our students must have a background check, also we require two leaders in each room for accountability. Our teachers work hard to make sure the lessons are biblically sound, engaging and interactive.

Candi Mains

Children's Director

Candi Mains is our Children’s director and works with our Children’s team to plan events, discuss ways to enhance, support and help our children's ministry be successful.  She also supports families and students in whatever areas they may need help or accountability. We have many exciting events throughout the year. Some of our events are family oriented like trunk or treat, summer mission trip, Fruitland pool party, and the Easter Egg-stravaganza. Students that are in grades 3rd - 5th can sign up to go to camp at Look Up Lodge each summer. Other events that students look forward to are the Happy Birthday Jesus party and our end of the school year party.  Each year other events are planned for families fellowship.
Some past events include attending a Swamp Rabbits hockey game, Otter Creek Water Park, playing putt putt, nerf-war games, snow tubing, family game night, watching the rodeo, and bowling. Vacation Bible School is the most epic week of the year for our Fruitland Children. This is a week where our students get intense Biblical training, are able to hang out with friends, play games, sing, make crafts and learn about missions in a fun, safe and loving environment.  Here at Fruitland we value our students and the proof is when you see so many of our adults investing and helping with Vacation Bible School.
