It's Time to Read the Bible for all Its Worth

This class is part of our regular Wednesday Night Equipping class schedule. It is intended to teach you how to read and study God's Word as it was intended to be. It will help you make good application and also be prepared answer questions about God and His Word to those who don't know Him.

Class Summary

Are you hungry for God's Word? Do you desire to develop a regular and healthy routine of study? Maybe you already have a routine but feel like you are not getting what you should from it. The How to Read the Bible class is a great opportunity to answer those questions and more. God's Word while for us was written in time and places we are distanced from. This requires us to do more than simply read, we have to learn to interpret as we read. In this 8 week course you will learn how to find the "plain meaning" of the text and understand what the author intended in their writing.

Class Objectives

Provide you with

Tools, direction, and context that will enable us to read the Bible as it was intended to be read. After taking this class you will be able to more confidently approach your time reading the Bible making it more profitable and glorifying.

Enable you to correctly

Apply what you read to your life on a daily (even hourly) basis. If you do not have an accurate understanding of the meaning of the passages you read, then you will make poor or misguided application in your life and the life of others you influence.

Equip you to disciple

Others and answer questions people have about the Bible and God. All Christians are called to make disciples and that includes you. What you read is not just for you to keep to yourself. It is meant to be shared and offer hope and eternal life to others you encounter.
